JPMorgan Chase Finance Project- Accounting/Business Analysis Vice President in Newark, Delaware
Seize the opportunity to join the Strategic Accounting Infrastructure and Control (SAIC) Team that is responsible for the analysis and execution of financial accounting architecture changes, supporting Financial Control, Asset Class Control, and Product Control.
As a Vice President on the Strategic Finance Program Management team within the SAIC team, you will partner with various stakeholder across multiple regions to deliver project objectives throughout multiple phases including requirements documentation, functional analysis, and testing. You will have opportunities to leverage your expertise to help organize and manage all finance deliverables. You will facilitate meaningful discussions with partners from finance, tech, ops to solve complex business issues and build a strategic accounting infrastructure for securities processing.
The projects range from production defect remediations and industry/line of business (LOB) initiatives to large-scale, multi-year strategic initiatives replacing entire product systems. We are looking for a Vice President to support our Fixed Income Transformation program, initially focused on the Latin America (LATAM) region.
Job responsibilities:
Create and maintain key project artifacts including project plans, RAID logs, and scorecards
Monitor the daily progress of activities, manage issues and risks, and escalate deviations from plan
Create and present project status reports to key stakeholders and senior management
Partner with Technology to ensure project priorities and status reporting are aligned with Finance
Proactively establish and manage meeting materials including agendas, meeting minutes, and key takeaways
Partner with Financial Controllers, Asset Class Controllers and Product Controllers to agree on project objectives, requirements, and priorities
Support the problem-solving and decision-making processes within SAIC by providing data analysis, visualizing process flows, documenting operating procedures, and managing communication plans
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
7+ years finance or accounting project management experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of stakeholders while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
Detail oriented with the ability to take ownership, prioritize, and manage multiple deliverables
Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to collaborate across different groups and regions
Experience with project or program management best practices, including organizational skills and time management
Digital proficiency, able to quickly learn systems and effectively use tools in an agile environment. Includes solid working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Securities'/ fixed income experience preferred
Knowledge of key Finance systems and processes, including MIS and GL
Controller experience
