NBT Bank Business Banking Administrative Assistant in Norwich, New York

Pay Range: $16.00 - $21.14

Provides a full range of administrative support in BLC for Business Banking loan processes. Serves as a resource for internal customers, facilitates workflow of applications, and ensures compliance with various regulations and procedures. Additionally, is responsible for proper loan and collateral documentation to ensure collectability of the loan, protecting the bank against losses. Responsible for various reporting requirements, maintaining application tracking, ensuring expeditious processing of applications, and maintaining thorough and complete application files.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required2 year degree or related job experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Well organized, self-motivated

  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities to ensure compliance with established timeframes

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proficient in current version of Microsoft office, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

  • Aptitude to quickly develop a proficiency of the Banks policy, procedures, accounting systems, and loan origination system

  • Requires in-depth administrative knowledge of Business Banking and procedures, as well as a basic understanding of regulations.

Tasks Performed:

  • 50% Facilitates workflow of BB applications throughout process from application to decision to acceptance and post-closing. Maintains and facilitates proper documentation in conjunction with LDCC. Performs due diligence to ensure clear lien position on all types of collateral; this may include such tasks as performing UCC searches, examining title searches, processing and communicating due diligence requirements to the field. Facilitates closings by ensuring all conditions of approval are met, ordering loan documents and processing loans through to decline or closing.

  • 25% Responsible for the maintenance and organization of Business Banking credit files as a part of facilitating the loan booking process. Maintaining and processing reports as requested by management and within specified time frames.

  • 10% Assists and interacts extensively with internal customers including Business Bankers, Branch Personnel, Business Loan Center staff, LDCC and others by serving as a BB resource. Provides superior customer service and exhibits professional telephone and communication skills when interacting with both internal and external customers including Attorneys and other outside professionals to assist in loan approvals and closings.

  • 10% Initiates follow up with internal partners to ensure compliance with various re Is responsible to ensure compliance with various Regulations, including Reg. B-declination and appraisal requirements, Flood, CIP and any other applicable regulations.

  • 5% Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers

  • Stationary 75% of time or greater

  • Move Objects to Maximum 10 lbs
