The Role

We are looking for a System Engineer who wants to use their experience and skills as a member of an innovative team within a global company, focusing on managing and developing products and solutions. From creating and implementing new products, to analyzing data to improve our existing ones: As our next System Engineer you will increase productivity in the workplace and work to balance various aspects of a project, most of them complex issues such as architecture and system dynamics.

You will work closely with other industry professionals to meet the needs of both internal and external system customers and clients, and use your ability to conceptualize the big picture. If you have a firm and holistic understanding of both,operational and scope aspects of projects, this role could be right for you.

What you will do:

  • Provide system design leadership to the product development teams, facilitating requirements and design work with the product and services development teams ensuring product and solution coherence.

  • Requirements management throughout the lifecycle of a products and systems, working with product marketing, customer service, supply chain, advanced manufacturing, customer service, engineering, other stakeholders, and peers to ensure requirements definition and alignment.

  • Translate customer needs with product marketing and other stakeholders into prioritized product and services requirements and project charters.

  • Take part in the technical interdisciplinary and inter-module work, defining technical requirements and specifications, architecture, design, interfaces, and tradeoffs

  • Demonstrate the product design coverage vs. the desired product requirements and technical specification.

  • Assess technical risk and lead risk mitigation plans.

  • Participate and perform regular watch on standard bodies, industry standard, and industry trends and map it how it relates to business, product and technology.

    What you need to have:

  • 5+ years experience in Engineering as an individual contributor and min 2 years experience in Systems Engineering

  • Minimum Bachelor or Masters’ of Engineering or similar/relevant engineering discipline.

    System Engineering experience:

  • Identify stakeholders and actors, develop product requirements, functional requirements, performance requirements, technical requirements.

  • Architecture: Understand and maintain system architecture documentation, with separation of concerns in to sub systems and clear interface definitions.

  • Solution and Design: Work with engineering teams to provide solutions and with stakeholders to document and perform any trade-offs

    Project Management experience:

  • Experience coordinating engineering teams using system and architectural descriptions and governing the architecture and design.

  • Knowledge of microprocessors, electronics, mechanics, software, thermal analysis, critical tolerances, data communication, regulatory standards, safety, etc.

  • Experience using quality tools and processes experience (FMEA, Pareto, 5 Why’s, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical profiles verbally and in writing.

  • Strong ability to understand how various technologies works, how the technologies are used in context, which benefits as well as potential limitations technologies and solutions provides.

  • Ability to reason about the entire system, the context of a complex system, the relationships between systems (system of systems) the elements in each system and anticipate system needs and system evolution through large scale patterns.

  • Experience in deconstructing and organizing complex systems and data into smaller elements, identifying critical parameters and dependencies.

  • Critical thinking and the ability to make a rational and unbiased analysis with evaluation of factual evidence.

  • Detailed ability to transverse between the holistic view to the detail and be comprehensive, exhaustive, and thorough where required.

  • The ability to be a creative problem solver and reason about problems with an indirect transversal approach.

  • Model based design and systems engineering, the ability to develop models that communicate product aspirations and features succinctly and precisely, eliminating the errors often associated with textual descriptions.
