The Director of Data Strategy, Services will have responsibility for data strategy that will enable the acceleration of new products and solutions for the newly formed Services Organization. The ideal candidate is passionate about how data and analytics can transform customers' businesses and will partner with product and technology teams to help assess the feasibility of new concepts, make informed data-design choices for new products, and develop roadmaps to realize new data assets and capabilities that are leveraged across Mastercard.RoleAs the Director of Data Strategy, Services you will:* Develop data requirements for new and enhanced products and consulting constructs and complete thorough design reviews to ensure the use of data and analytics can deliver the required product performance, manage risk, and enable the reuse of data across Mastercard.* Assess data feasibility and the potential differentiation we can create from new data sources to inform the design of new product propositions or proofs of concept. Guide product and engineering teams to enable rapid refinement and testing based on data availability and requirements.* Identify the data dependencies and synergies across products, segments, lines of business, and third-party data sources and options to manage them.* Maintain a strong understanding of the external data landscapeincluding the data and analytics used in key customer groups (e.g., banks, acquirers, merchants, supply chains, travel and commercial segments)collect and perform, how data flows between them, and where Mastercard can create additional value. Based on that understanding, develop strategic positioning for data assets and capabilities that could be acquired to advance the Services strategy.* Work with product and technology teams to develop plans and roadmaps to guide how Mastercard can build out the required scale of data assets and capabilities, including data rights and novel AI and analytic methods, to deliver products in finance and commercial segments and manage the regional and global data dependencies.* Develop educational material and train, as needed, on data usage and data literacy* Work with data governance, data platforms, and technology teams to define required changes to standards, processes, and systems.All About You * Experience in data and analytics product management or consulting for financial services, retail, or commercial sectors.* Advanced experience working with the development and application of data products and advanced analytics or AI, either internal product development and management, in an acquisition or external partnership, or with governance and evaluation of solution design.* Bachelor's degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or technology or equivalent experience.* Ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders about the value of data; strong written and oral communication skills; ability t present complicated and technical concepts in a clear and cogent manner.* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships across the enterprise.#LI-TL#AI2In the US, Mastercard is an inclusive Equal Employment Opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
