Job Description

Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) develops the cloud service capabilities that support Danfoss and its customers. The CCoE enables our global digital transformation, and requirements while progressing on our multi-cloud adoption journey. For CCoE we are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer who is passionate about streamlining software development and cloud operations processes. Our new Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in automating and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and ensuring continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that facilitate DevOps best practices within the organization. You will join a dedicated team of highly skilled cloud architects and engineers that handle the global infrastructure at Danfoss.

This is a new position where you will play key role in the global cloud journey. You will be working in a global cross-functional environment with close contact to many different stakeholders like; Software Developers, IT Infrastructure Operations, Application Owners, IT Security, IT Monitoring, and relevant stakeholders from Global IT.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and manage scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments.

• Implement and monitor cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies

• Respond to incidents promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

• Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of solutions

• Implement and maintain security best practices in cloud environments, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards

• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend tools to improve reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness

• Provide technical consulting support to development teams across the business to improve alignment with overall design principles

• Design, deploy, collaborate on and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates.

• Document processes, systems, and configurations to maintain a robust knowledge base

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for cloud-based solutions

• Work closely with development teams to understand their requirements and integrate new deployment processes and strategies

• Manage configuration drift and ensure consistency across environments.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, DevOps, Platform Engineering and related areas, and continuously improve processes and workflows.

• Balance reliability with feature development speed

• Provide guidance to team members.

Background & Skills

To be a great Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer at Danfoss you will need to enable reliable, scalable, and flexible solutions. It will be a part of your role to take responsibility for the technical cloud environment foundations and help develop a robust platform that can scale to meet our global business requirements and capabilities.

• 5+ years experience working as a Cloud DevOps Engineer, or similar role

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar

• Expertise with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and platforms

• Understanding of cloud security practices and experience with security tools integration

• Acquired extensive knowledge of cloud services and platforms (AWS, Azure & GCP) including their service-oriented architecture and APIs

• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or equivalent

• Experienced in system monitoring and logging solutions using cloud native tools

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams

• Passionate about building useful cloud technologies for the organization

• An agile mindset and proficiency in agile ways of working

• Cloud ecosystems knowledge

• Familiar with ITIL framework

• Problem-solving attitude and team spirit

• A proactive approach to spotting and communicating problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks

• Experience working within a global team and organization

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
