Siemens Energy Commercial Contract Manager in Orlando, Florida

A Snapshot of Your Day

Many of your days you will be working on inter-disciplinary teams to respond to customer contract terms. You will be analyzing contracts terms, identifying contractual risks, drafting, and negotiating agreements, and advising Siemens Energy management on risks, mitigations, and market conditions related to T&Cs.

When you are not working on commercial matters with business partners and customers, you will be working with your legal and compliance colleagues to ensure that our standards are kept current with emerging legal landscape, market conditions, and new product and solutions offerings in the Energy transition. You may also be requested to support our innovation teams on commercialization of new technologies, and to contribute to ensuring internal processes and risk evaluations remain effective and lean.

H ow You’ll Make an Impact

  • Be the trusted advisor and manage legalmatters/risks in relation to general commercial and contract law ininternational business for Siemens Energy’s Gas Services Business(including general legal aspects concerning intellectual property, productliability, procurement, administrative and general corporate law, tortsand claims).

  • Proactively assist and contribute tomastering business challenges by entrepreneurial thinking (balancinggovernance and business needs).

  • Maintain and further improve best inclass Legal department.

  • Advance process optimization and leanprinciples to gain efficiencies.

  • Foster an organizational culture ofownership, empowerment, transparency, speak up and inclusion anddiversity.

  • Collaborate closely within the global LCcommunity.

  • Develop and provide training and educatekey stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’sdegree in business, engineering, or other field relevant to Siemens Energycore offerings. J.D. preferred, but not required.

  • 5+years’ experience in contract management or corporate legal teams in theEnergy industry or related technology field. Advance degrees may beconsidered in lieu of years of experience.

  • Demonstratedsuccess of handling complex contracts specific to the sale of parts, goods,software, digital solutions, and services for the Energy industry.

  • Strongnegotiations skills with the ability to effectively lead or support anegotiating team consisting of Legal, Engineering, Marketing, Sales,Proposals, and Project Implementation personnel.

  • Self-drivenand resourceful to achieve goals independently and work well in groups.

  • Flexibilityto adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.

  • Theability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and generate teamconsensus to move forward.

  • Excellentverbal communication and writing skills with demonstrated ability todevelop and communicate clearly and concisely with all levels ofstakeholders.

  • Abilityto travel nationally/internationally 15-20%

  • FluentEnglish, and fluency in Spanish preferred

  • Applicants must be legally authorized foremployment in the United States without need for current or futureemployer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees withcurrent visa sponsorship maybe eligible for internal transfers.

The team of legal professionals works closely with the business partners responsible for the sale of Service solutions for Siemens Energy power generation equipment, throughout the Americas. The Service offerings range from master purchase agreements, urgent plant service requests, to complex long-term service and operation agreements.
