Job Summary: Seeking highly motivated candidates to join a team in testing new software and hardware baselines for a next-generation simulation and training capability for the US Army. This is an Entry Level Position.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supports the design and creation of software test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools.
• Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required.
• Develops test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.
• Works closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software and hardware implementation.
• Understands the AGILE method of software development and can work in an AGILE environment.
• Set-up and movement of program hardware in preparation for integrated testing
• Lift and move (40) lbs. regularly.
• Off-site travel of up to 20% of the year

Recommended Skills:

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or other Atlassian tools
• Operate collaboratively in a development team environment.
• Experience installing Windows OS
• Experience working with Linux and command line interface.
• Experience working with virtualization tools such as VMWare.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
• Two (0-2) years' experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites or a related field.

Other Requirements:Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
