Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

Scope/Purpose of Position :

In this role, you will provide administrative and logistic support to CET Division Engineering Leadership Staff. This role will report into a Division Engineering Manager with a dotted line to the Executive Administrative Assistant of CET General Manager. This positionmaintains confidentiality with sensitive information both internally and externally.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Engineering Leadership staff encompassing calendar management, travel arrangements, and coordination of executive visits and logistics.

  • Plan and execute various events, including onsite and offsite business meetings, executive gatherings, recognition ceremonies, and team-building activities.

  • Serve as the CET Summer Internship Facilitator, collaborating closely with the DE HR Manager to support CET Summer interns and organize related events.

  • Coordinate monthly inputs and oversee the administration process for D&E Project Updates, ensuring timely and accurate submission.

  • Develop and nurture subject matter expertise by actively participating in company and professional groups.

  • Proactively gather, organize, and prepare information for discussions and meetings involving executives, internal and external stakeholders, customer engagements, and high-level corporate events.

  • Manage office supplies inventory and ensure sufficient stock levels for smooth operations.

  • Initiate and oversee purchase order processes and procedures to procure necessary supplies and services.

  • Communication Expert : Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all levels of the corporation. Strong organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, focus on error-free work and follow up to ensure tasks are complete.

  • Strategic Specialist : Motivated, self-starter, detail oriented and anticipates executive’s needs. Decision making/problem solving skills and balanced judgment while always maintaining professional composure and demeanor.

  • Innovative Leader: Networked within Corning, looks for new ideas and bases decisions on the business needs. Exercises high level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Skilled Manager : Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexible, works efficiently and effectively in a dynamic high-pressure and fast paced environment.

  • Technology Leader : Stays current on trends and is willing to adapt to new technology and processes. Strong computer/technology skills

  • Professionalism : Presence, maturity, and appearance. Must be accessible, dependable, and reliable.

Required Education :

  • Associates degree desired

  • 3+ years of experience in Administrative Assistant roles

The range for this position is $55,569.00 - $76,408.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
