Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst (level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, Ca.

You will p lan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. You will also review contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. You will analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinate modification records for management control. Ensure Technical Data accuracy. Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. You will review and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

NGSKILLS

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 14 years of configuration analyst experience; or Bachelor's degree and 10 years of configuration analyst experience; Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Must have thorough understanding of aviation technical data and electronic technical manual change processes.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to maintain that clearance.

  • Ability to obtain and retain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within 365 days from submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD Active Top-Secret Clearance

  • Have experience supporting aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.

  • Experience evaluating engineering changes for implementation.

Salary Range: $109,900 - $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
