Hello,

I am looking for qualified candidates who are interested in working in a food manufacturing environment on day shift paying $28+ per hour. Position details are listed below and applicants must have legit maintenance experience.

Description:

Day shift 9am-6pm (mechanics arrive at 8am)

(70%) Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair and install machinery and equipment

(30%) Maintain building through painting, repairing minor structural problems, and other repairs as necessary

• Assist production team with repair of floor maintenance equipment and warehouse equipment as needed, including but not limited to install, repair, rebuild, adjust and maintain machinery and equipment used in production which may also involve the dismantling, inspection, machining or replacement of purchased parts

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment (including orderly storage of parts). Perform inventory of tools, parts and materials.

• Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions, perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PMs) to ensure equipment efficiency.

• Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, paint sprayers, and various hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing, and maintenance skills

• Assist in the replacement of filters in the HVAC equipment

• Has knowledge of basic electrical principles as they apply to such things as hardware, relays, switches and circuit breakers.

• Perform all building maintenance – plumbing, carpentry and electric

• Miscellaneous handyman work

• Facilitate all inspections for building, including but not limited to, elevator, fire and HVAC

• Replace fire extinguishers when needed

• Conduct facility walk through on a regular basis to identify areas where maintenance is required

• Handles emergency calls for repairs

• Plan and manage short term and long-term projects

• Responsible for maintaining electrical equipment in good operating condition

• Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.

• Follow all safety requirements for lock-out/tag-out, for confined space and tank entry, for handling of hazardous materials, and for wearing of personal protective equipment.
