WR Systems Production Control Clerk II in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for a Production Control Clerk II to support work at Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCP). The Production Control Clerk will support a test site to support Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) system research, development, testing, prototype evaluation, and in-service engineering support. Specifically, supporting a program to provide industrial services for test sites, equipment removal/relocation services, and maintenance services for various systems and equipment for the DDG-51, FFG-62 and DDG(X) Land Base Engineering Sites.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate and perform logistics activities related to the physical delivery of enterprise-wide logistics support that includes, but is not limited to supply, maintenance, and facilities management.

  • Estimate and proactively manages project-related workload requirements.

  • Establish location and quantity control.

  • Establish and maintain hard copy and electronic property record files and production status database records.

  • Lead junior logistics analysts in performing property physical inventory audits.

  • Oversee federal stock system research programs to establish manufacturer, part number, national stock number, etc.

  • Develop an understanding of customer’s logistics requirements.

    Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Trade or industrial school graduate from an accredited institution.

  • Two (2)+ years of experience compiling and recording production data to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.

  • Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.

  • Calculate such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
