Our Opportunity:

The Learning Systems Consultant identifies and implements process management by configuring and managing a variety of learning systems and platforms. The position must have a broad understanding of learning technologies to support learning operations while partnering with leaders, and business partners to ensure system stability and quality of service while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the enterprise-wide plan for learning.

What you’ll do:

  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of intangible factors.

  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Escalate issues of immediate priority/production that are critical to support partners – must be able to clearly articulate technical issues and steps taken to identify the root cause.

  • Assist leadership to plan, organize, and implement system processes, recommend priorities, and develop standard work.

  • Anticipate, prevent, and when necessary, understand end-user issues and business requirements.

  • Develop, implement, test, and modify system requirements.

  • Coordinate operational requirements such as upgrades and manage processes relevant to the specific learning system.

  • Develop and maintain system and process documentation, partner training materials, and just-in-time support resources.

  • Create, maintain and utilize test scripts.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and make recommendations.

  • Analyze and Troubleshoot Tier 3 level systems issues.

What you have:

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex processes involving people, data, and systems.

  • Critical thinking skills to diagnose software and platform functionality issues; Ability to break down complex issues into manageable segments that enable root cause to be isolated, identified, and resolved.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead small projects with support from more senior positions.

  • Experience documenting and training on system procedures and standards.

  • Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet project goals, quality standards, and timelines.

  • Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to build and retain strong interpersonal relationships and partnerships.

  • Experience with learning system protocols such as SCORM/AICC/xAPI.

  • Proficiency using MS Office suite tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote and Access.

  • Demonstrated consulting experience in process design, and quality improvement.

  • Experience providing leadership in the adaptation and implementation of new processes or technology that enhance the learning experience.

  • Experience organizing and reporting across large sets of data.

  • Experience working with a Learning Management System

  • Drupal Content Management System (CMS) experience
