Insight Global ONSITE - Active Directory Admin in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

A local client is seeking an Active Directory Admin to join their team and manage the Active Directory on-prem environment, they will be managing the current environment as well as group policy management and their servers. They will be looking to migrate into a hybrid environment and so experience with Azure AD migration, experience with Microsoft GCC, and cloud subscriptions will be pertinent for this role with suggestions and product evaluations, setting up identity work, synchronizing, etc and then having a strong understanding of security principles such as log analyzer and Microsoft products.

The current environment, was created 6 years ago from scratch so looking to clean up and responsibilities would include: Review group policies (100 approx) mostly small printer mapping, smaller scripts but drive the organization, sites and services, VBS scripts for login scripts, projects moving from shared drive from one organization to another (separating from another organization). Will be supporting a migration from Server 2012 to 2019, Domain is 2019 Domain, function level 2016 but all domain controllers, ADFS upgraded to 2019 but rest of infrastructure needs to be migrated. They are currently 98% virtual MS Gov Azure. 2 domain controllers everything else virtual. Troubleshooting Domain controller/DHCP/DNS components that build it. Overall the environment has about 3,500 users (internal, external and offshore) and additional duties would include documentation updates, new documentation and mentoring/leading a jr AD.

 Comprehensive and review of current group policies and procedures

 MS Active Directory review and recommendations, comprehensive review and product readiness

 As requested group policy support for Windows 11

 Recommendations for improvements or missights

 Work with Security team to review compliance for audits and create compliance reports

 Review current Remote Authentication (ADFS and Azure Sync) and make recommendations for future planning

 Creation of a 3-5 year Road Map for Active Directory and Microsoft tools

 Microsoft MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) to work with security to devise the road map and design as well as support

 Review and update run books for Active Directory

Skills and Requirements

Experience managing the entire Active Directory On Prem Environment

 Experience managing Group Policy, Windows 11, Server 2019, Group Policy Management

 Experience with Microsoft GCC and migration architect, setting up identity work

 Experience with Azure AD (Entra AD) and Azure AD Connect synchronizing

 Experience with powershell scripting how to create scripts and integrate them

 Strong understanding of security principles log analyzer and other Microsoft products null
