United Laboratories, Inc. Production Coordinator in Piqua, Ohio

Position Description:  The production coordinator is responsible for completing the processing of in-coming customer orders into "production sheet" packages for completion by plant personnel.  This includes coordinating production documents, lab requests, label requests, shipment preparation documents, and any necessary purchasing of materials to support these activities.

Areas of Responsibility include: 

  • Receipt of and review of incoming customer purchases orders to facilitate creation of production packages.
  • Coordination with plant operations to ensure accurate scheduling of shipment dates.
  • Completion of "production sheet" job package for plant usage.
  • Assist with the processing of data entry for all items not in the SAGE MRP system.
  • Review production sheet requirements and provide planning assistance to include scheduling materials from customers and purchasing or producing labels as required.
  • Produce Sales Order preparation documents including packing slips and pick tickets for timely shipment of customer orders.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Completing production documents in computer system including work orders, material lists, production sheets, and warehouse shipment preparation documents.
  • Completing daily requirements for label creation to support production operations.
  • Placing purchase orders for required materials including bulk products and labels to support production.
  • Review and provide input for plant planning activities as needed to support sales order processing to meet delivery expectations.
  • Following all precautionary statements and use proper personnel protective equipment when called out by Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or other approved documentation.
  • Following all Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) procedures and policies established by the company.
  • Complying with all rules, procedures, and policies concerning the safe operation of equipment.
  • Reporting any safety, quality, or regulatory concerns to management or HR immediately.
  • Continually reviewing work processes and providing recommendations for improvements to management.
  • Providing support to other manufacturing or warehousing efforts as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to review and coordinate customer purchase orders into actionable production documents.
  • Capable of running and processing reports used to manage customer orders, inventory, and allocations.
  • Capable of following instructions to complete job requirements.
  • Usage of computer system for processing production documents, purchasing goods/services, producing warehouse documents used to prepare shipments, and creation of labels and documents to support production operations.

Physical Demands:  The production coordinator will be required to stand 2-3 hours daily and will also be required to lift up to 50lbs occasionally. 

Work Environment:  The position will work in an office setting with occasional visits to a high bay aerosol production facility.
