The Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for multiple positions asConstruction and Maintenance Worker I/II/IIIin theDrinking Water Divisionof Operations. This recruitment may be used to establish an eligibility list for use to fill future vacancies.

Under supervision, performs a variety of maintenance and construction tasks associated with the installation, repair and maintenance of the water distribution system while working as a team in increasing vegetation management efforts within District rights-of-way and District-owned properties throughout the Districts 220 square mile service area; operates light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment. The Construction and Maintenance Worker will conduct physical control and removal of vegetation through the use of mechanized equipment and hand tools on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will possess one or more years of similar experience in the use of chippers, masticators, and/or chainsaws on vegetation similar to western El Dorado County (oak woodland, chaparral, and mixed pine coniferous forest).Logging and timber falling experience is highly desired.
