The Position

The position is responsible for supporting and executing projects identified from the supply chain development initiatives across Novo Nordisk Inc., (NNI).

The position is responsible for:

Development Initiatives: responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of selected NAO (North America Operations) Supply Chain Development Initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the broader NAO and Global Supply Chain teams to align the assigned projects.

Reporting on Progress of projects: Regularly monitor and report on the status of assigned projects to relevant stakeholders including the Associate Director and Director of Supply Chain Development.

Supporting Portfolio Maintenance: Work alongside the Associate Director and Director to maintain an updated view of the assigned projects within the NAO Supply Chain Development portfolio.

Relationships

Reports to the Director of NAO Supply Chain Development. There are no positions reporting into this role. Position regularly interacts with members of the Global Supply Chain and key stakeholders across NAO Organization. Maintains relations with Global Supply Chain, NAO Supply Chain Organization and corresponding roles in IO (international operations) and the regions within IO.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate closely with the Associate Director and Director to understand the broader NAO Supply Chain Strategy

  • Engage with relevant teams to support the maturation and execution of NAO Supply Chain initiatives

  • Prioritize projects based on strategic importance, feasibility, and available resources

  • Project Coordination & Collaboration

  • Ensure collaboration between global, regional, and local teams to secure successful project execution

  • Address any project-related issues, ensuring smooth progress

  • Progress Tracking & Reporting

  • Use tools and methodologies to monitor progress on assigned projects

  • Make necessary adjustments to ensure projects stay on track and achieve desired outcomes

  • Help maintain an accurate representation of assigned projects within the NAO Supply Chain Development Portfolio

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director and Director to ensure alignment between individual projects and the broader portfolio strategy

    Physical Requirements

    0-10% overnight travel required.

    Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g. Business, Supply Chain

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain/project management with a Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree (preferably from the pharmaceutical industry)

  • Experience in implementation of projects, with a broad stakeholder landscape

  • Proven track record in project management and change management

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience with Agile ways of working is a plus

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
