This OEM is looking for a E Motor Technician with the following experience, skills, and responsibilities listed below:

Description:

Build preproduction electric motors in accordance with the build schedule.

Analyze motor defects and perform repairs as required.

Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop welding process for new motor designs.

Modify and build simply fixtures and tooling.

Operate machine shop equipment (lathe, drill press, mill, hand power tools, grinder, welder, presses, etc.)

Operate and maintain all motor lab equipment (robotic welder, epoxy and varnish machine, presses, CNC wire bender, wire forming machines, balancer, ovens, induction heater, electric test equipment (surge, Hi-pot), etc.)

Skills:

Hand tool, Mechanical assembly, Automotive repair, Assembly, mechanical aptitude, machining, machinist, electric motor

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Automotive experience

experience with machining would be a bonus to have for the higher level role

ability to use basic hand tools (low level auto/lube technician/backyard gearhead)

ability to follow set build schedule/process to specification

experience with electric motors would be a homerun on paper - not a must have

Attitude, desire to work for GM, willingness to learn, be coached are essential soft skills
