We are the Sports team under Microsoft AI organization (Co-Pilot,Edge browser, Search, Ads, Map and MSN). Our Mission is to bring sports fans around the world together around their favorite teams and players. We are looking for intensely customer-focused, growth minded product managers who can lead the charge to deliver next generation Sports experiences for our 1 billion users across windows and office.

The Principal Product Manager for sports will own key areas of responsibility to define and executing the vision of a new differentiated sports hub experience with content and personalization that delights sports users and maximizes revenue. Developing and implementing a growth plan leveraging Windows and other distribution canvases to reach and retain more sports users across Microsoft Start and Bing. Enhancing the sports user experience on Bing and Co-Pilot, by providing relevant and engaging sports information and content. We welcome product leaders that love building product vision, developing new concepts, and driving execution of exquisitely crafted solutions to customers’ most challenging problems. As a part of this role, you will lead a global team of data scientists, software engineers, marketing and operations to build a best-in-class product that wins the hearts and minds of sports users.

Responsibilities

  • Central, cross-functional leadership of a product.

  • Defines product vision and strategy, leveraging deep understanding of the customer experience and competitive market.

  • Building consensus on product strategy/vision across all functions and aligns with internal/external partners to achieve defined goals and vision for product/ service feature area(s).

  • Identifying short-and long-term investment opportunities, evaluating tradeoffs, and driving the product roadmap.

  • Defines the feature set and iterates with multiple designs with Design and Software and Hardware Engineering.

  • Engaging customers to capture feedback, develop insights, evangelize, and educate.

  • Works across all stages of product lifecycle from product definition, planning, release, modifications, maintenance, and feature deprecation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leveraging growth tactics to drive Daily Active Usage (DAU) and engagement growth.

  • Experience working with Generative AI technologies.

  • Equivalent industry experience: advanced technical degree or MBA is a plus

  • Both technically adept and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization, from data scientist, engineers to executives.

  • Ability to be strategic, but also drive tactics and execution as needed.

  • Proficient collaboration and written and verbal communication skills

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
