Company Overview:

Rehrig Pacific is an industry leader in waste, recycling, and supply chain solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated UI/UX Intern to join our Technology New Product Development team.

Purpose of Role:

As a UI/UX Intern at Rehrig Pacific, you will be involved in enhancing the user interface and user experience designs for our existing applications and portals. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to voice of customer sessions, gather and analyze user feedback, generate gamification dashboards for our customers, and research competitive applications in order to improve our digital products.

Areas of Accountability:

  • Collaborate with the product management and design teams to enhance the UI/UX designs of our existing applications and portals.

  • Participate in the integration of Generative AI and business intelligence tools (e.g., QuickSight with Q) into our platforms.

  • Generate gamification dashboards for our customers to increase engagement and improve user experience.

  • Conduct voice of customer sessions and gather user feedback to better understand user needs and expectations.

  • Analyze user feedback and interface interactions to improve the usability and accessibility of our digital products.

  • Research competitive applications to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in UI/UX design.

  • Collaborate with other team members to implement and test design enhancements.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to demonstrate new design ideas.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program related to UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles and tools.

  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Interest in staying up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
