Job Description:

Summary:

The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, configuring Salesforce to fit the company's needs, creating, and managing fields, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns, and other Salesforce objects and functions. This role has a solid understanding of business operations and the analytical capabilities to translate business needs into system solutions. The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for managing and developing the salesforce.com platform to meet the business needs. This role is to ensure the stability and scalability of the system, design and implement new features, and offer support and training to users.

Essential Accountabilities:

Level I

Manage and maintain the company's Salesforce CRM, including user setup, profiles, roles, and teams, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and validations. Responsible for system configuration fields, tables, modules and data bases required to support accurate processing.

Creates and maintains documentation. Document system configuration and administrative processes.

Creates and executes unit test cases for testing and workplan management.

Creates individual work plans for projects and workplan management.

Researches, analyzes, and configures to resolve system issues within the scope of Salesforce and the aligned systems.

Communicates with team members and business partners to ensure timely and appropriate resolution to reported configuration issues and enhancements.

Accountable for complete development cycle for minor development activities from requirements analysis through implementation, ensuring all system changes are defect-free prior to implementation.

Manage daily functions of the salesforce.com platform.

Create and manage custom fields, objects, records, layouts, list views, workflows, and approval processes.

Create and maintain user roles, profiles, and hierarchies.

Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.

Interact regularly with business units to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.

Provide support to users and train new end users on the Salesforce system.

Perform database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.

Evaluate, install, and manage Salesforce updates and add-ons.

Assist in the evaluation of new business systems software and processes.

Work with management to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage Salesforce to support additional business processes or functions.

Keep abreast with new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Assist in the evaluation and installation of AppExchange tools for feasibility and impact.

Level II (in addition to Level I Essential Accountabilities)

Provides business rules configuration input to EHP development projects, including, but not limited to the development of interfaces and extensions.

Participates in the development of tools and processes to improve the efficiency of configuration build and maintenance activities.

Articulates and concisely communicates with Senior Management, presenting recommendations and statuses.

Audits configuration changes made by others before migration into production (as needed).

Directs ongoing systems configuration changes and new configuration requirements.

Develops strategies to meet goals and translates those strategies into specific action plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

All Levels

Proven work experience as a Salesforce administrator.

2 years related work experience required (e.g.: configuration experience on a health insurance platform/ application).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field required. In lieu of a degree, six (6) years of related work experience.

Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) required.

Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM platforms. Experience in setting up and managing user profiles, roles, and permission sets in Salesforce. Familiarity with Salesforce.com best practices, support mechanisms, procedures, and limitations required.

Working knowledge of the healthcare industry.

Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams, diverse groups and individuals to achieve common goals, make clear and consistent decisions using information from multiple sources.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive towards desired outcome in a timely manner.

Knowledge of system development life cycle activities.

Working knowledge of structured analysis and design, unit testing and data gathering techniques.

Strong process orientation and critical thinking skills.

Level II (in addition to Level II Minimum Qualifications)

Minimum of five years of related work experience required.

Advance understanding of the health insurance industry.

Ability to design and configure all controls necessary to support Salesforce system.

Demonstrated ability to assign relevance and risk to a series of planned events at an individual, department, or enterprise level against a specific outcome.

Demonstrated ability to train and mentor.

Proven ability to identify root causes of business and/or workflow problems and determine innovative sources for solutions and opportunities.

In-depth knowledge of system development life cycle activities. Specific knowledge/experience of Health Plan systems life cycle activities preferred.

Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective presentations to front line management staff.

Proven ability to make decisions with ambiguous information.

Demonstrated ability to cover for Management as needed.

Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to manage large projects and work across multiple locations.

Physical Requirements:

Use of a computer for extended periods of time.

Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.

Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.

Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.

Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.

Compensation Range(s):

Level I: Grade 207: Minimum $60, 070- Maximum $111, 114

Level II: Grade 208: Minimum $67, 538 - Maximum $124, 925
