Royal Electric Learning & Development Specialist in Sacramento, California

We have a current opening for a Learning & Development Specialist in Sacramento, CA.

Success in this position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings with subject matter experts (SME) to identify technical and soft skill training.

  • Create engaging learning activities that meet instructional objectives.

  • Document meeting notes from SME’s.

  • Design and write training materials that can be delivered in person and through distance learning.

  • Design interactive eLearning courses through iSpring or TalentLMS.

  • Review and edit instructional materials.

  • Research technical content and material.

  • Develop job aids.

  • Write, draft, edit and prepare participants and facilitator guides and related documents.

  • Research new and innovative training programs and trends.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys and feedback.

  • Review and update existing training materials as needed.

  • Coordinate the enrollment in training courses and issues certifications.

  • Provide support of training programs ensuring all training equipment and facilities are reserved. Ordering any program supplies as needed.

  • Maintain the resource center of all training documentation.

  • Collect and review performance metrics that support continuous learning.

  • Provide recommendations to enhance learning and development function.

  • Assist with annual training strategy that meets the company’s needs and objectives.

  • Complete misc. projects as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of training content creation and program design or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.

  • Experience successfully managing projects with aggressive timelines.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems

  • Working knowledge of training authoring tools, eLearning, video editing, audio editing, and other emerging technologies (e.g., iSpring)

  • Thorough understanding of adult learning concepts

  • Ability to work independently and with a team.

  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

  • Must be detail-orientated and well organized.

Salary Range:

$75,000/year - $95,000/year

  • This is an exempt position
