Long term Contract. Must be able to travel to Hartford, CT for meetings as needed. Candidates must have prior investment experience as this is supporting a suite of investment applications. Tech Skills: Homegrown application experience, - lots of backend work with oracle - prefers candidates with oracle but okay with SQL, asp.net/vb.net 3 -5 years experience - work will be focused on production support as well as project support - moving to new accounting system/data warehouse Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Application Development assignments/projects. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Application Development but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert Responsibilities:

• Direct involvement in new development and production support.
• Participation in all phases of the development and system support life cycle.
• Works directly with investment business partners and other I/T team members to understand desired system requirements and to deliver effective solutions within the Agile methodology.
• Primary responsibilities are to provide production support and support a multi-year strategic project to migrate to a new accounting platform and investment data warehouse

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with software development life cycle working within an Agile team.
• Business knowledge of finance, accounting and investments
• Experience with Investment Data Model, including but not limited to security/issue, holdings, trades, legal entity/portfolio and ledger data domains.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis, data integration and data migration techniques
• Experience with investment related applications such as investment data warehouses, trade order management systems, general ledger systems, investment analytics and pricing, total return, securities and/or mortgage accounting systems. Examples: Eagle PACE, Charles River, Factset, Bloomberg, MarketAccess, FXall, PAM for Investments, SS&C Singularity
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated and highly professional

Technical Skills

• Experience with Oracle Stored Procedures, Views, Functions and Triggers
• ASP.Net, VB.Net, MVC.Net and C#.Net is a plus
• Experience with ETL tools is a plus
• Platform knowledge for Web Server, Windows and Linux Servers is a plus.
