About the Team

We are the Customer Deployment Tools (CDT) engineering team at Workday -- primarily responsible for delivering cloud- based software tools to onboard new customers and allow existing customers to uptake new Workday products. This includes tools for data transformation, validation, migration and loading of sophisticated data structures, on live systems, in the cloud.

Within the CDT organization, you will be focused on building tools that allow implementers and customers to have more insight into the most complex changes that impact their deployment As we continue to grow and evolve our systems to meet customer demands, we are looking for a Software Engineer to help drive the development and future of CDT platform and tools.

About the Role

• Work with Product Management, engineers and customer teams to gather requirements, plan feature delivery and deliver on designs and implementation.

• Work as part of an agile software team to ensure engineering principles and quality are a core component of feature delivery.

• Supply ideas for continually improving the designs and scalability of the products and services delivered.

• Work in a high trust and innovative environment where collaboration is crucial.

• With an emphasis on teamwork, you will develop solutions using the various technologies including Java, XpressO (an internally developed language), GitHub, Jenkins, and other technologies.

• Be responsible for the day-to-day agile activities of the team and actively supervise delivery and metrics for the team.

• You will work on designing, implementing and leading all aspects of our tool portfolio where performance and resiliency will be essential.

   

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years professional experience or advanced degree

• An engaged learner looking to advance skills as a software engineer

   

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.

• 2-3+ years development experience with one or more of the following languages: Scala, Java, Go, Python

• Experience designing and building REST based APIs

• Experience with test frameworks for your language of choice, TDD/BDD a plus

• Experience working with agile methodologies and principles.

• Experience with distributed systems principles in a consumer internet or SaaS environment

• Familiarity with configuration manag ement, containers, virtualization and cloud environments

• Worked on build pipelines, continuous integration, deployment and monitoring utilities

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $102,400 USD - $153,600 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $97,300 USD - $174,000 USD
