We’re looking for a Construction Administration Lead who will be located in San Franciscoor our Oakland office locations. The role will form an integral part of our regional construction administration team and will help to deliver some of the most significant projects in the area. The successful candidate will ensure quality in our designs, a high level of multi-disciplinary coordination and key stakeholder awareness.
Notable projects include the UCSF New Hospital at Parnassus Heights, Multiple state of the art all-electric Hospitals, an SFO Terminal upgrade project, a refurbishment of the San Francisco Symphony, Several Confidential Corporate Campuses, and New Data Centers in multiple locations across the US.
Responsibilities
Lead Construction Administration project work – including new / existing construction and pre-design support. Projects will typically reside in the science, healthcare, higher education, transportation and commercial sectors. A general knowledge of all project types will be a strong attribute.
Lead the development of client and stake holder relationships with a focus on building and maintaining quality relationships that lead to repeat business.
Support the CA process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint. Facilitate timely responses to RFI’s, submittals and inspection reports and ensure that response are coordinated across trade partners
Build and mentor a diverse construction administration team
Provide measurement and verification services and support our commissioning team as necessary.
Perform in-house design reviews and make recommendations for design improvements. Engage with our BIM process and pro-actively identify opportunities for coordination and constructability in order to support a high quality output.
Contribute to and help develop regional standards for construction administration best practices, such as: digital platforms, test sheets and forms, specifications and site practices, and field reports.
Know the latest in relevant industry developments and technology advancements
Qualifications
10 + years of experience winning and delivering commissioning / retro- commissioning projects
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar is preferred
Experience developing and delivering a business strategy and work winning efforts
PE or Commissioning Qualification, such as CCP, CxA, BCxP is preferred
LEED AP certification is preferred, Jurisdictional certification for HCAi or other state agencies, preferred
Project sector experience in higher education, science, industry, healthcare, government, or transportation
Influential profile from professional relationships and speaking engagements
Experience leading and mentoring teams
Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $117,500 to $156,500 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ.
