Amazon Manager, Partner Solutions Architects, Storage and Cisco in San Francisco, California

Description

AWS is looking for an experienced technical leader for a Solutions Architecture team focused on our Partner Community of ISVs in Storage and Cisco segments. This is a management position for someone who can build teams quickly, recognize and coach top technical talent, establish relationships and set strategy at a senior level with AWS product teams, measure and deliver results, and also get hands-on to help build complex, AWS-optimized architectures with Storage partners and Cisco's line of products that span across networking, observability and security.

The right candidate should have experience building and leading distributed teams of senior architects or similar roles at technology companies or large enterprises. Alliances or enterprise customer-facing experience is required. Understanding of AWS Technologies is desired but not required. You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers at both strategic partners and AWS service teams.

In this role, you will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer and solutions-focused skills of your team. You must enjoy learning and introducing new technology in order to help colleagues and customers embrace and adopt new technology. Furthermore, thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the technology and considering the value technology creates for our customers, and helping to change how technology is viewed are important aspects of the role.

Up to 30% travel is required.

Key job responsibilities

Inspiring and leading the team to drive product integrations between partner products and AWS services. Taking the ownership in any customer escalations and taking part in any exec level engagements.

A day in the life

A typical day starts with having a call with stackholders and peers at AWS or at partner solutions.

Engaging in 1:1 conversations with team members, going over partner plans to figure out think big ideas for the year and helping the team in any obstacles will round up the day.

About the team

Team consists of solution architects with deep expertise in Storage segment such as Dell and Netapp and Cisco's line of products , who are constantly innovating on behalf of their partners and are passionate about learning and building joint solutions with partner products. They help each other out to grow and learn together

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles

  • 8+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Storage, Networking, Security and Collaboration products

  • 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience

  • 5+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of deep expertise in Dell , Netapp storage products and Cisco's line of products

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture and networking experience

  • Technical Communication Skills; able to bridge the gap between business outcomes and technical requirements.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $135,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
