Universal Health Services Maintenance Worker- Behavioral Health in SAVANNAH, Georgia

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Maintence Worker who will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and light HVAC. Key Responsibilities include: Preventative maintenance. Sheetrock repair and interior/exterior painting. Plumbing repair and minor carpentry. Furniture repair.

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 114-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50 bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.

  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.

  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.

  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.

  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.

  • Maintain facility – painting, carpentry, sheetrock, and maintain pool and pool equipment.

  • Perform water treatment and maintain data records as required.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
