Responsibilities

Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and/or remodeling activities of all the facilities of the Mayo Clinic Arizona campuses. Supervises and provides support to assigned staff. Coordinates workflow and completion of Work Orders. Maintains appropriate staff levels. Hires, coaches, reviews and terminates assigned employees, or makes effective suggestions and recommendations that are given particular weight regarding the employment status of assigned employees. Facilitates a customer satisfaction program working closely with and supporting the customer. May conduct and participate in quality and safety assurance tours of the facilities. Trains new staff and conducts the annual mandatory training of staff resulting in a strong competent team. May prepare and manage an annual budget, including the purchase of supplies and equipment. Must collaborate with others, be well organized, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively. May represent Facilities Operations on committees, teams and/or at meetings.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED. Completion of a two year diploma or certification program from an accredited trade school or college. 3 years' experience in facilities supervision or leadership. Healthcare experience preferable. Familiar with Life Safety Codes and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare requirements preferred. Demonstrated ability to evaluate problems and implement solutions. Demonstrated ability to operate computers and has knowledge of basic computer programs such as word processing, spread sheets and building management programs. Demonstrated ability to read and understand construction documents and schematics. Demonstrated communication and customer service skills are required. Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English is required.

Valid Arizona driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
