The mission of our team of experts is to provide statistical evidence that is meaningful, timely, accurate, and trustworthy. Our Education Statistics portfolio focuses on the development, collection, analysis, and communication of international, national, and state statistics. Our primary practice hubs are: Measurement and statistics in large-scale surveys Standards and assessment Our Education Statistics team is driven by our mission to make the world a better, more equitable place. AIR's Education Statistics program area is seeking a Communications Assistant to work with our clients across Education Statistics, including, but not limited to, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) within the Department of Education, to provide support for education-related communications strategy, including product conceptualization; design and production of print- and web-based products; and outreach planning including social media campaign activities. AIR is looking for someone with concise and compelling writing skills for outreach, experience working in a communications role, and knowledge and interest in communications as a field. This knowledge or interest can be conveyed as a specialty or technical skills beyond those listed here and could include graphic design, UX/UI design for website design, web tracking with Google Analytics and SEO, A/V products, etc. Additional skills include ability to work independently, integrate feedback from multiple sources quickly, identify content related to the interests of our clients, comply with branding requirements, contribute to and implement project plans, and clearly communicate about tasks and priorities. Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the Unites States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations.
