Seattle Children’s Hospital Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist - Odessa Brown Children's Clinic in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this position focus on leading the marketing and communications strategy for Seattle Children's Odessa Brown Children's Clinic (OBCC) with the goal of increasing awareness and familiarity of OBCC. The position includes providing strategic marketing and communications consultation and support to the OBCC team on projects and initiatives that span multiple audiences and various marketing and communications vehicles. The position involves initiating, developing, coordinating, implementing, measuring and evaluating marketing and communication plans related to these projects and initiatives. Other responsibilities include content development for vehicles including newsletters, blogs, presentations, etc.; leading the production and distribution of internal and/or external publications/collateral; updating content on Seattle Children's intranet and the external website; project management; message development for senior leaders; helping mentor and train teammates; and communication support during crisis situations. The ideal candidate will have strong marketing and business strategy acumen and experience; broad experience working with senior leaders on marketing and communications strategy development; and proven results developing marketing and communications plans. The role is hybrid with 40% of time spent working at an onsite location. The position includes rotating 24/7 on-call responsibilities with other members of the marketing and communications team. This position reports to the manager, marketing and communications for Seattle Children's clinical division, with dotted line reporting to the manager of Community Health Programs and Advocacy at OBCC. #LI-JC1 Requirements: Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or closely related field. A minimum of five (5) years experience in a marketing and/or communications role. Required Credentials: N/A. Preferred: Experience working as a marketing/communications professional in a healthcare and/or non-profit setting. Experience managing complex, multi-faceted communication plans involving multiple stakeholders and audiences. Experience with crisis/reactive communication, including response and support. Experience writing for print and online channels (e.g., newsletters; flyers; brochures; websites; blogs; etc.). Experience with Associated Press style and adherence to editorial and graphic standards. Experience with photography and/or image editing software (e.g., PhotoShop). Experience with web content management systems/HTML. Experience developing messaging with an equity, diversity and inclusion focus, and an understanding of EDI principles like unconscious/implicit bias, social determinants of health, etc. Experience providing marketing and/or communications consultation and support to senior leaders. Experience writing for multiple audience types and health literacy levels. Bi-lingual. Min to Max Hourly Salary: $40.42 - $60.63 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $84,075.00 - $126,112.00 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
