Position Title: Morning News Anchor

Status: Full-time, non-exempt

About this opportunity: So, you want to be a news anchor?  That's good because you'll be anchoring A LOT, plus contributing to our NonStop Local News product daily on our digital platforms!  You'll anchor Wake Up Montana -- a statewide weekday morning newscast for the Big Sky State!  You'll also anchor a newscast for the Spokane/Tri-Cities market each weekday morning!  We're looking for a strong, experienced journalist who can command the anchor desk, take an active role in shaping our newscasts, embrace the ever-growing digital opportunities available to us.  The right person for this job thrives in a collaborative environment and embraces a team mentality.  In addition to your journalistic skills, we expect you to be engaged with and involved in the communities we serve.

Required Qualifications & Skills:  Previous reporting and anchoring experience with a professional broadcast, print, or online news organization is required; Experience with mobile reporting tools; Willingness to work overtime when necessary; Knowledge of and desire to participate in social media; Ability to adapt in a changing media and technology landscape; Bachelor's degree in Radio/Television, Film, Fine Arts, or related field is preferred. 

Other Requirements:  Passion and dedication to news; Great storyteller who writes to video; Good video photographer with an eye for news and features; Experience as a television news reporter or anchor; Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members; Ability to produce a solid, accurate newscast when needed; Experience editing news copy and video; Newsroom computer software experience preferred; Must possess a valid driver's license with no DUI convictions; Ability to carry thirty pounds of television equipment.

*What we offer: * Salary Range: $45,000 - $53,000 annually + Signing Bonus or Moving Expenses
