About the Role

Under general direction of Paint Supervisor, provides technical support in Paint Department to achieve the highest production output possible.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operates paint line to include startup, operation, and shut down. Collect samples, analyzes, and adjusts e-coat line process parameters using lab equipment.

  • Operates wastewater treatment system to include startup, operation, and shut down. Collect samples, analyzes, and adjusts wastewater system parameters to ensure wastewater is within permit limits.

  • Monitors e-coat process pressures and flows and changes filters as necessary. Participates in required tank maintenance.

  • Charts process analysis results and enters into required spreadsheets.

  • Maintains, calibrates, standardizes, and cleans lab equipment to maintain an operational neat and clean lab environment. Cleans and maintains e-coat and wastewater equipment area.

  • Communicates process and equipment issues to Paint Supervisor and or Paint Manager.

Who we are looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • E-coat or paint experience preferred.

  • Must have a high degree of comprehension and judgment for effective problem solving

  • Demonstrated good interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate with internal and external contacts and work in a team environment

Your preferred qualifications

  • Must demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.

  • Must demonstrate reasonable (high school level) mathematical skills.

  • Must be able to learn and utilize basic chemistry.

  • Must have basic computer skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Must be able to work independently.
