This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following Corporate Office locations: St. Petersburg, FL or Southfield, MI.

As part of the Enterprise Technology Services Data and Integration team, you will be part of a team that maintains a wide array of application platforms and products that support core business functions. Acts as primary support and central point of contact on large or multiple systems with significant impact across the firm. Extensive contact with internal customers, other technology professionals, and vendors is required to identify, research, analyze, and resolve system issues and problems. Applies specialized domain knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Makes judgements and recommendations based on analysis and knowledge. As part of the Enterprise Technology Services Data and Integration team, you will be part of a team that maintains a wide array of production and development application platforms and products that support core business functions. Your primary focus will be the full life cycle system administration of the Oracle ODI, Coherence and WebLogic applications by monitoring and tuning systems and processes to achieve optimal application performance, stability, and security. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your skill set by learning the other products that the rest of the team supports like Informatica, An Initio, Solr, Mongo DB, Kafka and IBM products like MQ and ODM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and maintains complex systems.

  • Performs implementations and upgrades in compliance with security guidelines.

  • Monitors systems, including setting alerts to maintain the stability of the environment and monitoring error logs. Troubleshoots or escalates issues as needed.

  • Application server administration for IBM WebSphere and Oracle WebLogic based platforms.

  • Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding platform availability and reliability.

  • Supports Life Cycle Management by keeping all platforms up to date through regular patching, upgrades and retirement of aging systems.

  • Provides support for application system issues to all customers.

  • Assist Development teams in following established best practices.

  • Effectively manages communication between architecture, development, quality testing, administrators, and IT management on current issues, open vendor tickets, upcoming maintenance, and platform changes.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • The role will provide support for production systems on a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree MIS, Computer Sciences or related degree and Five (5 ) years of relevant experience in assigned area or combination or education, experience and training.

  • Strong experience in application server administration, patching, upgrades, vulnerability management, etc, in an enterprise level environment (Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss).

  • Strong knowledge of scripting and automation (Bash, Ansible, WLST, etc).

  • Strong knowledge with UNIX/Linux environments and commands.

  • Experience working with vendor support throughout product lifecycle.

  • Working Knowledge of Oracle Databases.

Preferred:

  • Experience with JVM memory management, diagnostics and configuration.

  • Experience on clustering, performance tuning, load balancing, connection pools, multi pool, JMS message Queue and Monitoring.

  • An understanding of external monitoring tools such as: Datadog , DynaTrace, Splunk.

  • Any cloud experience: AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure.

  • Understanding of network and security concepts and technologies.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking standards, protocols, etc.
