The team & the location

To support Electrification growth journey, we are strengthening our development team with several new positions in software, control, and electrical engineering.

You will become part of a competent team with dedicated colleagues working across the world in a global setup. For the right person, there will be many opportunities for professional and personal development.

You can be located to Danfoss Vaasa and Tampere office in Finland.

Job Responsibilities

Key tasks and responsibilities for our new Applications Software Engineer will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Development and maintaining of the software used in Electrification applications

• PLC-programming by IEC61131-3 tool / Model Based design using Matlab + Simulink

• Creating specifications of applications, based by customer requirements

• Creating document data for manuals

• Support and development of the needed software environment & IT tools

• Member of dedicated software development scrum team

• Special focus to support Electrification customers in own region with new opportunities, requirements, commissioning, and maintenance of existing systems

We are looking for a highly motivated person who is a strong team player with the ability to facilitate good cooperation across a matrix organization.

To succeed in this position , you must demonstrate a customer focused mindset with passion for innovation.

You should also have a natural curiosity and good communication skills - presenting ideas, solutions, and information accurately and professionally.

Background & Skills

We expect that you have:

• More than 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering and/or software development

• A background in Power electronics, which will be an advantage

• Experience in Model Based Design and/or embedded programming (C/C++ and python language)

• Experience in Matlab / Simulink environment

• Fluent and comprehensive English skills, both verbally and in writing.
