Job Description:
The University of Mount Saint Vincent is seeking a Coordinator of Mission and Ministry to join the campus ministry team. This position reports to the Director of Mission and Ministry with responsibilities that include planning, coordinating, and implementing the campus retreat program, immersion trip program, Agape Latte and other lecture series, collaborating with religious figures from varying faith traditions, and supervising student work study students. Successful candidates will be interested in joining a team committed to supporting young adults and members of The University of Mount Saint Vincent community as they live out their faith. Candidates will have strong relationship building skills and experience in building strong relationships with other offices on campus. The candidate must be highly motivated, creative, and committed to Catholic, Setonian higher education. Candidates will have demonstrated an ability to effectively engage young adults and communicate the Catholic faith tradition in a collaborative environment. Desirable candidates will have the experience and ability to develop religious literacy and have fluency in diversity, pluralism, and inclusion. They should possess exceptional interpersonal skills and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
Oversee the retreat program and immersion trip program
Oversee all programmatic elements, including communication, finance, and travel
Recruit, select, train, develop, and supervise student leaders
Oversee the recruitment, selection, training, education, and development of student participants
Facilitate all spiritual and educational elements of the program, such as post-experience prayer and reflection
Assist with various special Campus Ministry projects: seasonal programs, speakers, Agape Latte, post-graduate volunteer fair, tabling events, and prayer gatherings
Create reflections and community building activities for the Seton Service and Leadership Scholarship Program
Assist in overseeing and participating in the annual UMSV Month of Service
Provide guidance on volunteerism, mission integration, and meaningful service to students, faculty & staff
Engage in discussions regarding the vision and priorities of Campus Ministry
Engage in events and programmatic planning that will enhance the Setonian, Catholic nature of our campus
Assist in the oversight of campus liturgical and sacramental events, such as RCIA and weddings
Coordinate the marketing of campus ministry activities, such as newsletters, flyers, and social media
Attend professional gatherings
Represent Campus Ministry at college functions, committees, and activities as requested by the Director
Confer regularly with the Director, other departments and University personnel to plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities/projects/programs, exchange information, and investigate and resolve problems
Maintain records and prepare reports pertaining to assigned areas of responsibility, including a regularly updated legacy/succession report
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree is a requirement
Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with knowledge of CIT, CSJT, and Setonian charism
Background in pastoral ministry, spirituality, social justice, or a closely related field
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and various off-campus community partners
Self-starter who can handle multiple, ongoing projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical capability to navigate a 70 acre campus
Proficient in social media and marketing
Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
Valid US Driver's license
Availability to work on weekends will be required

The allotted salary for this position is $62,400 annually.
