Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT), the Enterprise Technology group supporting all business functions under Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for an Lead Product Owner, Analytics supporting the Canadian Innovative Medicine business. This position’s primary location will be in Toronto Canada. At times, this position will require up to 10% travel in US.

This position will have specific responsibilities as an IT lead with in-depth technical skills, delivering high impact analytic products and solutions that address the evolving needs of the Business. The IT lead will be directly responsible for supervising the design, execution, delivery, and support of analytics products and solutions across the Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Canadian portfolio. The IT Lead will partner closely with Business Technology Leads , External Vendors, other Product Lines, Business Product Owners, Technology Services, Finance, and Portfolio teams to apply Enterprise technology and development capabilities and deliver analytics solutions that rapidly meet business needs, optimize flow, and enhance our ability to deliver quality products and solutions with greater speed, increased agility, and measurable business impact. Key skills are needed to build Reporting & Analytics capabilities in the realm of Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing and Analytics, Self Service, and Metadata Management.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Partner with Business Technology Leads (BTL) and Business Product Owners (BPO) to understand business drivers and to deliver analytics products that address business needs

  • Use Agile methodology to work with business partners to define and translate business needs into user stories, prioritize product backlog, and define sprint plans.

  • Work with the product development and platform teams to communicate product vision and functional requirements and ensure implementation of configuration needs for the products

  • Ensure all stakeholders are clear on the roadmap activities, interdependencies & deadlines

  • Actively participate in the development and evolution of product strategy and roadmap by staying ahead of technology advancements and working closely with architecture teams and IT management

  • Develop and manage Project Plans and areas related to project management

  • Partner across IT teams as One IT to deliver high quality analytics solutions which are aligned to business and IT strategies

  • Lead, monitor, and measure product health, technical quality, development and support services, adoption and usage through consistent metrics reporting

  • Implement solutions using Enterprise Analytics Platforms (Dataiku, Qlik and/or Tableau and AWS cloud stack components (S3, RDS, Redshift)

  • Leverage data science and AI proficiency to advise on top-tier analytics product recommendations, optimizing their capabilities for superior insights and strategic impact.

  • Ensure Compliance to J&J Standards for all Product Development and Product Ownership (Privacy, Health Care Compliance, Data Governance, Software Development Lifecycle Management)

  • Provide technology leadership and Commercial data domain expertise to drive business adoption of analytics products and solutions.

  • Apply process improvement methods to optimize business processes by continuously searching for ways to eliminate redundancies and inefficiencies

  • Cultivate collaborative, healthy, inclusive, and credo-based culture of highly engaged, robust teams by modeling credo values, valuing diverse perspectives, with high touch approach to employee talent and development

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of technology development (platforms or products) is required

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in technology or engineering field

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering successful analytics products and solutions is required

  • Experience leading project teams is required

  • Data analysis skills with hands-on expertise to work with heterogeneous data sources is required

  • Experience developing in BI visualization technologies and/or developing in other programming languages is required

  • Experience with databases modelling and database queries is required

  • Experience working directly with business partners and capturing business requirements is required

  • Experience working with IT support teams

  • Experience collaborating multi-functionally within a matrixed IT organization

  • Practical experience using Agile development methodology

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal skills is required

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and achieve results in a fast-paced environment is required

Preferences:

  • High proficiency in Data Science concepts and Artificial Intelligence highly preferred

  • Experience within a large, global and matrixed organization

  • Qlik Sense Certification

  • Hands on experience working with S3, Redshift, RDS, Dataiku, and QlikSense

  • Experience in the Commercial Pharmaceutical industry

  • Knowledge of commercial pharma business processes such as sales and marketing, field alignment, medical affairs, and government access.

  • Experience with CRM environment and the Calls Data from Veeva/Salesforce

  • Experience with wide array of pharmaceutical data including but not limited to Patient Access Services, sales and marketing syndicated data, CRM, digital.

  • Master’s degree in technology or engineering field
