Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products Trinity is seeking qualified candidates for a Day Supervisor at our Trinity, Alabama location.

• Lead, promote, and enforce health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies, and the Nucor way.

• Responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing functions at the plant across multiple production shifts.

• Ensure success of our new teammates - safety, quality and productivity.

• Provide guidance and development to the Leadership team & teammates - ensure training gaps are identified and closed.

• Plan, manage, monitor, and control overall plant production operations to meet the company's financial objectives including, but not limited to safety, quality, productivity, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and other cost savings initiatives.

• Provide direction consistent with Nucor goals, objectives, and vision to the production department.

• Review daily operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to ensure minimal expenditures and prevent operational delays.

• Build teams and collaborate with cross-functional groups (HR, Safety, Finance, Sales, Production Planning, etc) to resolve day to day issues, while providing strategic support to accomplish continuous improvement.

• Ensure that pertinent information is clearly and accurately communicated to all teammates and departments in a timely fashion.

• Develop and implement training on problem solving and continuous improvement tools/techniques.

• Delegate work to appropriate personnel and provide accurate and complete instructions for all completion of such work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Supervisor experience leading a team in the Manufacturing industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record of driving operational/cultural change and implementing process improvements

• Lean production implementation experience
