Job Description

  • Create dynamic system models of hydraulic cartridge valves using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.

  • Develop models of application systems that incorporate valve models.

  • Understand design requirements and use them to define the scope of analysis.

  • Translate analysis results into design recommendations based on design requirements.

  • Utilize object-oriented programming techniques to build and maintain efficient and modular models.

  • Collaborate with design engineers, applications engineers, and customers to understand modeling requirements and system behavior.

  • Provide technical guidance, oversight, and training for design engineers using DSM models.

  • Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports to communicate modeling results and insights.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance modeling processes and techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

  • Coursework or experience in dynamic system modeling, control systems, and hydraulics/fluid power

  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, fluid power, and control systems

  • Experience with object-oriented programming techniques and methodologies

  • Familiarity with CAD software, preferably Creo

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Must be willing to work a Hybrid schedule

Additional Information

Must have US work authorization. This position is not open for International Assignments. This position works in the Lincolnshire, IL office.
