DevOps Engineer at GoTo

Your Day to Day

As a DevOps Engineer you would be working on:

• You will be part of a platform engineering team managing a double digit number of Kubernetes clusters in the cloud that are part of an internal developer platform serving our GoToengineering organization in a production environment. This includes on-call responsibility for a stack of managed Kubernetes, nodes, cluster autoscaling, networking and storage.

• Unification – You will be working on running our platform efficiently by reusing and unifying existing deployment methods and enable the team to come up with unified way how to manage all k8s clusters at GoTo.

• Test Automation – You will be working on improving the test process and coverage for our internal developer platform to ensure high availability and fast innovation

• Operational Support – You will be in close contact with our customers and developers and help them troubleshooting issues and onboard them on to our platform.

What We’re Looking For

As a DevOps Engineer, your background will look like

• You have experience operating Kubernetes clusters with confidence in production in the cloud

• You have a good overview in the Kubernetes and Cloud Native ecosystem and have been using common community addons such as CoreDNS, ExternalDNS, Cert-Manager and others before

• You are using programming skills (Bash, Python/GoLang) to solve tedious problems using automation

• When provisioning things, you default to the concept of Infrastructure as Code and you feel comfortable using industry standard tools such as Terraform

• You still enjoy and apply good analytical skills to troubleshooting issues at the Operating System (Linux) and Network level
