As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you'll work on interesting challenges. You will also help us test new products before they go to market. As a Software Development Engineer in Test Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Building, testing, and delivering core backend services and API's that provision and manage virtual machines in cloud

• Ensuring the quality of service for hundreds of thousands of Linodes running across our global datacenter network

• Understanding the overall software stack that makes us tick

• Working in an environment that fosters innovative solutions, rapid development cycles, and open communication

• Creating test plans and test strategies to ensure highly effective test coverage and automation

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience, bachelor's in computer science or related field is nice to have

• Demonstrate professional experience with JS, Python, and/or in TypeScript, Go and/or Bash. Be familiar with Docker

• Have Implemented test automation using frameworks such as Pytest, nosetest or similar

• Possess familiarity with RESTful APIs and developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for appropriate coverage

• Experience with frontend testing tools like Cypress (ideal), Playwright, Selenium, etc.

• Have basic working knowledge of relational databases, like MySQL, PostgreSQL

• Have working knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions or GitLab

• Be open to contributing to and improving automation beyond testing infrastructure
