Oracle Food & Beverage Solutions Consultant (English, French) in Portugal

Job Description

As a Consultant Specialist you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through complex technical and functional challenges, focusing on Oracle's Simphony Food & Beverage (F&B) solutions.

Your responsibilities will extend from delivering comprehensive consulting services and training sessions to providing technical expertise and solving complex problems. You will serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights and practical solutions to enhance client operations and drive business growth.

What you'll do

  • Install and configure the Oracle Hospitality F&B product suite

  • Train the application software of current Food & Beverage management techniques

  • Impart specific knowledge related to restaurant operating procedures

  • Be familiar with and adhere to the latest training and installation standards and procedures

  • Work with the My Oracle Support (MOS) global support system and Support organization on escalating client issues

  • Work with the customer and the broader Oracle Hospitality F&B team to ensure service level requirements are exceeded

  • Participate in online education and product training courses; Participate in quality assurance of new product and/or version release software. SQL and technical skills

  • Submit timely and accurate project status and other required reporting via current communication method

  • Ability & credibility to work effectively with the client at all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to work unsupervised or as a team member of both the local office team and wider company teams

  • Creative thinking abilities so experiences and knowledge may be used to create new ideas and think 'outside the box’

  • A self-starter with initiative, drive and strong desire to succeed

  • Capable of thriving in high-pressure environments

  • Flexibility with people, time and shifts

  • Willing to work in shifts as needed.

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience with the Hospitality industry experience in a supervisory or management role.

  • Tertiary qualification in a Technical or Hospitality Management field

  • Knowledge of manual Food & Beverage procedures.

  • Familiarity with relational database management systems such as Oracle 12c Database Server is preferred.

  • Good working knowledge of TCP/IP networks, PC’s and troubleshooting techniques.

We also prefer...

  • Previous experience with Oracle Hospitality Simphony Point-of-Sale

  • or similar F&B Point-of-Sale software products

  • Previous experience as a trainer/consultant

  • MCSE and OCP certifications.

  • Analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Project Management skills

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal

  • Fluency in English

  • Fluency in French
