Construction of an application test system for automotive SoC (R-Car series)

• Leading the H/W development team for the test board that uses the reference board (control circuit design and artwork design)

• Leading the test S/W development (embedded software development using C, Linux or OS-Less environment)

• Assembling the test system and verifying its operation

Company Description

SoC products for automotive applications are key components for the realization of electronic and advanced functions in automobiles, and their development is unabated. However, as a result of higher performance and functionality than ever before, defects caused by multiple factors that cannot be detected by conventional test methods using ATE (Automated Test Equipment) have become apparent, and the establishment of a system to detect these defects is an urgent task to ensure quality.

This project involves the development of a test board that mimics the SoC application environment and the test software that runs on the board. It also involves the construction of a test system to detect potential defects in the SoC. In developing the board, we will use an existing reference board and guide the engineers responsible for the board circuit design and board artwork design. The test software will be based on existing evaluation software, and the engineers in charge of test software development will lead the development of test software that can run in an OS-less or Linux environment.

This is a very challenging position where you will gain the extensive knowledge required for system integration of leading-edge SoCs.
