HomeSafe Alliance is the single global household goods movement manager for USTRANSCOM and the U.S. Armed Forces, Department of Defense civilians, U.S. Coast Guard, and their families.

Position Overview:

HomeSafe Alliance is seeking a temporary Administrative Intern to assist our Operations team for a summer program. As an Operations Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of domestic transportation management within our organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting, develop practical skills, and contribute to the optimization of our transportation operations.

The duration of the position is projected to be from June until August 2024. Up to 20 Hrs weekly

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Support all administrative aspects of operations group with scheduling, data collection, and various other administrative tasks.

  • Entering data and preparing various spreadsheets and reports for leadership review.

  • Review and maintain a variety records and reports.

  • Verifying reports for accuracy and completeness.

  • Compiling data.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned to support specific department/business needs.

  • Conduct effective and efficient data analysis (preparation, transformation, and visualization) towards transportation related management for operational activities.

  • Contribute to administrative and logistics management, including coordinating and organizing workshops, events and meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.

  • Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and routing software is a plus.

Fraud Alert
