Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. Intern, IT Business Analyst in Westlake Village, California

JOB SUMMARY:

We offer students the opportunity to spend a summer working at one of Securitas' US Operating Centers. This internship program offers undergraduate students with real-world application of business within the North America Shared Services organization. You will participate in a 12 to 15-week internship located in Westlake Village, CA for approximately 30 hours per week.

As an IT Business Analyst Intern, you will support the IT business analysis team in preparing business process documentation and strategies. Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Conduct research and compiling data about business processes

• Analyze internal processes, data and problems and identify benefits from enabling new capabilities

• Support the business analysis team in developing business plans and strategies

• Help organize data repository and support documentation

• Assist in developing training materials, handouts, and desktop procedures

• Work closely with business analysis team to understand the role of a business analyst within an IT organization

• Make suggestions for improvements

• Other tasks as assigned by senior members and manager as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience:

• GED/High School Diploma required

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business, supply chain, management, finance, accounting, Information Systems or related field

Competencies: (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

• Tools - Experience in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc. and any BPM software

• Attention to Detail - focusing on the details of work content, work steps and final work products

• Innovation - Imagining and devising new and better ways of doing things

• Leveraging Technology - applying technology for improvements in process efficiency and effectiveness

• Analyzing & Interpreting Data - drawing meaning and conclusions from quantitative or qualitative data

• Process oriented with drive to simplify/improve process

• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills

• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolutions skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

• Strong collaboration skills within the organization and outside

• Ability to work efficiently with peers and end users

• Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, think creatively, and process driven
