Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a DBA Lead to join their team of about 20-25 individuals. As a DBA Lead, you are responsible for ensuring smooth operations and maximum availability of databases and middleware across all applications and tools. You will lead efforts to define database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures, ensuring the integrity and security of data resources for a large, highly complex system. Additionally, you collaborate with application and hosting teams to enhance database and application performance, design Oracle Maximum Availability Standards RAC solutions, manage instance clone schedules, handle patching, oversee security, and lead Oracle software upgrades. Capacity planning for database management systems is also part of your role. In this position, you will be interacting with the customer and other teams so strong, effective communication is going to be crucial in this role.

Skills and Requirements

* BS/BA in Information Technology or related technical discipline and 10+ years' experience within Oracle ERP/E-Business Suite environment

* 5+ years of experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite, preferably in R12.2.x

* Experience in managing multiple technologies in a complex environment such as - Oracle EBS R12.2, Oracle Identity & Access Management, Oracle SOA suite, Hyperion, and multiple non-production environments.

* Experience capacity planning and High Availability configuration/Disaster Recovery

* Experience leading and managing a team of 10+ individuals in highly complex, large database environments

o Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* Experience being customer facing and understanding requirements based of their needs

* Ability to define technology roadmaps, technology innovation. Familiarity with Cloud Computing/Cloud Service Providers * Knowledge of earned value management, budgeting, providing estimates.

* Experience in archive and purge solution for EBS R12.2

* Experience with database monitoring tools -- OEM, Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture

* Training/certifications in Cloud -- OCI/AWS/GCP/Azure

* Knowledge and expertise on change migration tools.

* Knowledge and expertise on automation (Shell, Perl, Python scripting, Ansible).

* Experience working with Data Guard or ExaData null
