Job Description Internal Audit Manager Position location is flexible and may office from a Fastenal location in Winona, MN or TBD Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 6:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Internal Audit Manager, you will perform a variety of audit and analytical functions connected to our global operations. You will be responsible for documenting processes and procedures, assisting with internal control design, performing specific audit test plans, performing analytical analyses, investigating unethical activity, and completing special projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Managing and directing a team of employees, possibly including employees in non-North American locations o Documenting processes and procedures of various departments across the organization o Assisting with internal control design, documentation, and implementation o Developing a process for conducting operational audits across various departments o Developing a risk-based approach to identify where operational audits are needed o Performing specific audit test plans to ensure compliance with relevant company accounting requirements and standards o Performing analytical analyses of financial and operational data o Investigating reported or suspected unethical activity o Completing special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned, including collaborating on and assisting with audit-related priorities across Fastenal's departments REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Business field of study o Possess at least 5 years of relevant work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Willingness to travel o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Previous experience using PeopleSoft o Previous experience developing operational audit plans ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
