Profectus Livestock Solutions (PLS), a new company with a long history of helping farmers find solutions to grow their farm operation, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to perform daily accounting tasks to support our Company. This full-time position is at our corporate office in Worthington Minnesota. PLS offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Summary: The Accounting Specialist will perform bookkeeping, accounting assignments and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment in areas of A/P, A/R, GL, as well as other accounting areas in line with our established guidelines. Duties/Responsibilities: Prepares and gather information for financial reports and various accounting statements. Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy. Complies and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases. Monitors accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date Codes data for input to financial systems according to company s procedures. Organizes and maintains file systems and files correspondence and other records. Process A/P among entities. Analyze accounts to maintain A/P system for accuracy and completeness. Prepare bank deposits and record transactions Support monthly reconciliation and analysis associated with the General Ledger balances and provide analysis in variances in accounts. Other accounting and administrative duties will be assigned to provide support for the daily operation and day-to-day needs. Answers and routes telephone calls, as needed Performs other related duties as assigned.
